Malayer- Mishan, 19th Century

3. This beautiful rug was published in my fathers book (page 209). Malayer is in the Hamedan- region. These 19th century carpets are on the same quality level, such as Feraghan and Senneh carpets. Beige grounding (very rare) with beautiful flower ornaments, mint condition.

That's how it all began

This is the book, my father Mohammed Pakzad, published in the 1970s. It is still one of the reference publication about Iranian Carpets and Rugs, written in German language.
Many of the exhibts, published in this book are part of my collection, which I inherited from my father.
